NOVEMBER THEME: EXPOSING SECRETS
by
Simone Butler
Truth-telling
Jupiter has just entered the sign of Scorpio (on October 25) for
a one-year stay—a perfect time to explore and reveal previously
hidden knowledge. Scorpio rules secret matters including sex, death
and financial entanglements. It's time to bare all—or risk
having your secrets revealed by others (attention: George Bush).
This especially goes for people with Scorpio planets, like those
of us born between 1953 and 1956, who have Saturn in Scorpio. As Jupiter triggers our Saturn over the next year,
we'll be given new opportunities to take a stand.
Saturn,
the Taskmaster, rules my career sector. I am called to reveal my
secrets to the world. Yet I hesitate for fear of what people will
think. No doubt I got burned at the stake the last time I “went
public” with my knowledge of the deeper mysteries, including
sexuality.
But,
thankfully, times have changed. As part of Jupiter in Scorpio's
mandate to expose hidden truths, Ron Howard's cinematic version
of The Da Vinci Code, starring Tom Hanks and Audrey Tatou, premiers
May 19. Dan Brown's book is the best-selling novel of all time,
an estimated 25 million copies sold so far. The revolutionary premise,
that Jesus and Mary Magdalen were married and bore a child, has
reputedly been softened to avoid outraging the Religious Right.
Still, I'll be thrilled if even a fraction of the book's monumental
message about the Sacred Feminine comes through.
November
begins with a New Moon in Scorpio on the Day of the Dead--how appropriate
is that for a month of transformation? Yet the New Moon is square
to Saturn, which is stationary all month in preparation to go backward
Nov. 22 (until April 4). This means that it's still quite necessary
to take things slowly or even go back to the drawing board this
month—especially for Capricorns! On top of that, Mercury goes
retrograde from Nov. 13 through Dec. 3 in the don't-fence-me-in
sign of Sagittarius. Many of us will feel the urge to cut loose
at a full gallop, but find ourselves restrained behind the starting
gate.
In
an ironic touch, eccentric Uranus turns direct on the 15th,
exerting a revolutionary bid for freedom and bringing to completion
whatever was happening in May-June, when it went backward. This
combination of energies may feel like you've got the proverbial
'one foot on the brake, one foot on the gas.' Plus, action-oriented
Mars is still backward until Dec. 9. So to avoid accidents or missteps,
think twice before dashing headlong into new ventures or relationships.
This potent energy is best applied to inner empowerment. Throw off
old shackles, but make commitments only when your intuition gives
a clear go-ahead.
Almost
a year ago, Ian Lungold gave a talk in San Diego on the Mayan Calendar
in which he laid out the next seven years on the planet. He demonstrated
how the evolution of consciousness is sparking unprecedented changes
as it accelerates like a spinning gyroscope, which will result in
the Golden Age prophesied by many religions.
Ian
now lies in bed in Flint, Michigan, wondering if death will claim
him. Lymphatic cancer and growing tumors in his throat have prevented
him from continuing his lecture tour. In a recent e-mail, he applied
a gentle whip to those of us who were moved by his message. Whether
this is the end of my life or not, I have a request that each of
you pick up what information I have brought concerning the Mayan
calendar and with renewed vigor pass this information to as many
people as possible.”
We
each have a sacred duty to find what speaks to us, he added, and
share it with others. The Mayan Calendar predictions ring true for
me, so I have recommitted to spreading the word. Jupiter in Scorpio
asks: Are you sharing the truth you came here to share? Ian is committed
to continuing his mission, whether in this life or the next. If
he does pass, he says he'll be joining with the legions of Light
Workers, who are to assist everyone else through these changes from
the Other Side. One's own demise is a scary thing to contemplate.
Scorpio will take us down such paths. Yet, with Jupiter in that
sign, there’s always a blessing on the other side.
