NOVEMBER THEME: THANKSGIVING CHALLENGE
by
Simone Butler
"Gratitude
is heaven itself." --William Blake
My friend Linda
is the queen of gratitude. Having grown up in poverty, she appreciates
even the simplest things. And because she emphasizes the good, even
more blessings come her way. Her happy marriage is the greatest
blessing of all. After eleven years, she and her husband are still
passionately in love with each other. Their connection exalts both
body and spirit, as well as supports their individual work in the
world.
Call it soul
mates, twin flames, sacred partners-this high level of connection
is what we all long for. So, I asked her, why is it so hard for
many of us to find or sustain such unions? "I think it's because
people lack the confidence within themselves that you need to make
it work," she replied. Our task over the next few weeks is to forge
that confidence, as we go through the fires of purification.
With five planets
(including retrograde Mercury, from Oct. 28 to Nov. 17) in transformational
Scorpio, we're in the crucible that precedes new birth. Are you
experiencing obsession, desperation, black moods? Be patient, as
we are about to enter a year-long portal on Nov. 24 that will jumpstart
an exciting new phase in consciousness. After then, the energy will
be right for many of us to connect with a romantic partner who carries
the same spark of soul essence that we do. And, those who are already
in such a relationship will take it to the next level.
November
24th is the long-awaited dawn of the Fifth Day of the Mayan Calendar-the
return of Quetzalcoatl, the plumed serpent and bringer of enlightenment.
This new phase is by far the strongest energy influx since we entered
the Galactic Underworld in 1999. It brings a blaze of light to our
consciousness and awakens the intuitive faculties. Falling close
to the end of the sacred Mayan Calendar, the Fifth Day lasts for
one year. This is the timeframe we've all been waiting for.
It may also
coincide with increased turbulence in the world, as Quetzalcoatl,
the divine serpent, helps us shed our old skins. Remarkably, this
quickening exactly parallels the once-every-twelve-year return of
Jupiter to its home sign of Sagittarius on Thanksgiving evening.
This major synchronicity opens an unprecedented portal for accelerated
growth.
Thanksgiving
is always celebrated on Thursday, a day that's sacred to Jupiter,
god of abundance and gratitude. So as our national holiday approaches,
I'm offering a challenge. Join me in a week-long ritual of
grateful affirmation. Here are some ideas: Start a gratitude journal
in which you list three things you're thankful for each night before
bed. Send a note each day to different people you appreciate. Give
thanks out loud, morning and night. "I am grateful for the internal
confidence that magnetizes my ecstatic union." Or, "I give thanks
for this old pattern of poverty-consciousness that has taught me
so much, and now release it." Feel the gratitude in your heart to
make it real.
We'll begin
on a power day-Monday, November 20, a New Moon in late Scorpio conjunct
Jupiter, planet of blessings. The Sun enters inspirational Sagittarius
on the 22nd, providing momentum. Then Jupiter joins it on Thanksgiving,
and we're really rolling! Not only that, but all the planets will
be in forward motion from Nov. 20 thru Dec. 5. This highly unusual
occurrence is a perfect opportunity to make a fresh start.
To usher in
the new Twin Flame energies and celebrate the dawn of the Fifth
Day, you're invited to join us in Solana Beach at a special Blessing
Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 24. Imagine the magic that will occur-and
the exciting work we'll do together in the world-as many of us unite
with our sacred partners in the coming year. I don't know about
you, but I'm ready!
